What is the K9 Wag’n?

Most times we take our dogs out of the house we make them slow down, calm down, and walk at our speed —at The K9 Wag’n, we encourage your dog to let loose and run. Our philosophy is built on the off-leash exercise most dogs crave but seldom experience. Having the option to run wild, explore, and sniff freely in the great outdoors is what being a dog is all about.

Our custom-built dog school bus services most of Winterville, Athens, and Watkinsville, GA. Every Wag’n Rider must first be vetted by the owner, Megan, during a “Compatibility Check”, and approved before their first Adventure Day, to ensure that all the dogs have a safe and happy time on the farm!

What does an Adventure Day look like?

  • The bus picks your pup up between 8:30am - 10am on Saturdays and Sundays

  • All the Wag’n Riders get brought to the farm to play and explore for 3 hours!

  • During their play day all the dogs will get snacks, treats, or one of our signature Pupsicles

  • After their day of Adventure, the pups will be loaded back on the bus and brought home between 1:45pm - 3pm, along with their Adventure Day Report Card!

●The Adventure Day Difference

What sets the K9 Wag’n Apart

Convenience

Not everyone has the time or the means of bringing their dog to a dog park and wait around to make sure they are getting all the exercise they need. Which is where we come in. Take the guilt out of your weekends when you don’t have time to let your dog run wild, give them to me and let them have a blast with other friendly pups on a farm.

Off-leash exercise

Your pup will get to run and enjoy the great outdoors to their heart’s content.

Farm life aesthetic

Forget the concrete jungle; our location is filled with rolling grassy hills, dirt, the smell of cows, squirrels, rabbits, you name it. Your dog is going to have a ball at this farm, and this time, they’ll come home!

Daily Adventure Themes

Every day is different so you can pick an adventure that you think would speak to your pup! Whether [tennis] ball is life, or they’re more of a slow down and sniff kind of pooch, we’ve got an enrichment style for all the four-legged family members out there.

● About the Owners

Meet Megan & Ethan

Megan grew up as an avid animal lover. Her family always had a dog, a cat, sometimes small mammals, and the occasional fish. As a teenager, she worked in animal boarding facilities and veterinary offices to expand her knowledge of animal care, hoping to one day run an animal-related business of her own.

Ethan has lived in Athens, Georgia, his entire life and grew up working on his family's farm, tending cattle and raising chickens. Today, he works alongside his dad and brother at their family-owned raw material recycling company. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and, depending on the season, cheering on the Braves or the Dawgs.

In 2025, after seeing some cute videos online, Megan began talking to Ethan about starting a dog bus business in Athens. Recognizing that not everyone was as fortunate as they were to have open space where their dogs could run freely, she envisioned a service that didn't yet exist in the area: a bus that would take dogs to a farm where they could run, play, and embrace their natural K9 instincts.
